Aerial Repair Futures – Pixelache member Saša Nemec

Selma Mataich

Aerial Repair Futures is an international residency exploring repair as a collective artistic practice through aerial dance, textile art, performance, and community participation.

Five artists from Slovenia (Saša Nemec), Italy (LINEAdARIA), and France (Mécistée Rhea) come together in Loviisa to develop new interdisciplinary work while engaging local communities through workshops, open rehearsals, and participatory artistic encounters. Throughout the residency, visitors are invited to experience, create, and even try aerial movement, textile repair, and creative mending practices alongside the artists. The residency culminates in a series of site-responsive performances presented during local festivals, celebrating collaboration, sustainability, care, and artistic exchange.
