Pixelache in collaboration with Station of Commons will organise a series of dinners inviting diverse cultural and artistic collectives at Villa Eläintarha.
Build a larger table is a project that aims to gather in a relaxed environment, with food and drinks to hold conversations and share recipes on social sustainability and experiences on working together.
These talks will be broadcasted and shared to the public domain through the Station of Commons website. An edited podcast will be accessible later on Pixelache website and Soundcloud.
The title Build a larger table comes from an apocryphal quote that says “when you have more than you need build a larger table not a taller fence”. The concept resonates with the intentions of this project, sharing a moment of togetherness and joy around food, in order to have conversations with collectives that have been shaping the cultural context in Helsinki for a long time.
For the September gathering we will invite the electronic collective KOELSE, who has been active for more than 20 years, organizing music and art events in Finland.
The dinner conversations live streaming will be available on Station of Commons website, Friday September 26th, October 31st and November 28th from 7:30 pm onwards (EEST time zone)
